Winter and Spring Cooking Classes

You're Invited …. and we'd love you to bring your friends too!

Winter is here and it's time to explore the seasons' bounty, get inspired, and pick up some yummy new ideas and recipes to share with your family and friends.

With shorter days upon us, and cooler temps snapping at our heels, there is time in the kitchen for a bit more reflection, while still not spending hours and hours at the bench. 

We'll be looking at some wow factor 'one pot wonders', classic mid winter warmers, French without tears, Spanish/Catalan & Tapas (small plates), Eating in rhythm with the seasons, Better Breakfasts, and if we can fit it in once the weather has warmed, a Raw 'un-cooking class'.

Our cooking series will be running through the winter on the third Thursday of each month -

  • July 20th    Classic Winter Warmers 
  • August 17th     Wow Factor 'One Pot Wonders'

… And through into spring, celebrating all the bounty of the season on offer -

  • September 21st      French Without Tears
  • October 19th       Spanish/Catalan & Tapas (small plates)
  • November 16th     Raw 'Un-cooking class'

Classes run from 1pm – 4pm, are demonstration, and limited to 10 people.

The cost of each class is $65.00 – you will enjoy tasting plates, a glass of wine, recipes, wellbeing & nutritional tips, as well as a little extra something special to take away.

Classes can be booked either individually, or if you fancy doing a series, you can book the whole five, and receive a 20% discount. So grab a bunch of friends, your partner, or just bring yourself.

About Sarah

Sarah La Touche is an accomplished chef and cook school facilitator, and a qualified holistic nutritionist.

She started cooking in her early twenties in Sydney. In 1992, she and photographer husband Denis, upped stakes and moved to the beautiful village of Roquebrun in the south of France, where they created the very popular guesthouse and cook school, Les Mimosas.

On her return to New Zealand she ran The Epicurean Workshop Cook School, and went on to create with Cat Vosper owner of Miro Vineyard, the awarded winning Casita Miro Eatery on Waiheke Island, specialising in Mediterranean inspired food.

In 2010 she qualified as a holistic nutritionist, and continued sharing her passion for food with the focus on what nourishes us.

Since 2012, she and Denis have hosted relaxed and inspiring food lovers tours and walking holidays in Southern France, Northern Spain, and Italy through their Company Foodies In France.

Sarah has written for a variety of food magazines including Dish, and her recipes have featured in French Saveur Magazine, Cuisine, and Australian Gourmet Traveller. Sarah and Denis have also co-authored three cook books together including The Les Mimosas Cook Book, a selection of recipes from the divine meals they cooked for guests at their French guesthouse. 

There is nothing that gives her more pleasure, than sharing her love and passion for food, wine and France with others.
