Highly recommend

Had a lovely short stay here as a base for visiting Abel Tasman national park. Also very close to the little town Mapua which is worth visiting for a drink. We were made very welcome and comfortable during our stay, and breakfast was amazing!

Most enjoyable

Most enjoyable stay with very good hosts and really to a wide choice of restaurants Most of the food was either home grown or produced. Which was excellent and copious.

Quince Cottage is beautiful.

This is a lovely cottage and only a few minutes drive from Mapua wharf, which was very vibrant and alive when we visited in the evening. Thanks for having us Sarah & Denis. Quince Cottage is beautiful.

Very comfortable

"The house is located just above Mapua (great view) and is surrounded by a beautiful garden with flowers and trees. Next door, sheep graze, the chickens cluck and you can see and hear different birds. It is very pleasant to sit on the beautiful seat. The swimming pool can be used by the guests. My room had two windows, it was very sunny and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. The hosts are both very sympathetic and helpful people, I felt very comfortable there"! A real treat to end our holiday at your place.

Our family of 6 stayed 2 nights in the Quince cottage and everything was perfect. There were clear instructions on the use of the appliances and washing machine, many useful suggestions for places to eat and things to do along with some discount cards. We enjoyed the personal touches with Denis’s photography on the walls, the elegant decor and the fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathroom. We ate out in the village of Mapua both nights, many great pubs and restaurants to choose from, though it is about a 40 minute walk back home. Also rented bikes in town and cycled the Great Tasting Trail towards Nelsen and enjoyed a few hours on the beach at Rabbit Island. We highly recommend a stay at the Quince cottage.
